As I closed the door behind me I let out a deep sigh, feeling the weight of the impending danger weigh heavily on me. I wasn’t going to place anyone in harm’s way, not for something as personal as this, and this was personal. I could handle him by myself, I was sure of it. Turning to face the tall lush green trees lining the forest I straightened myself and pulled back my shoulders. This was the moment I have been training for all my life. Granted, I have been slacking lately ever since I met Damian and I wouldn’t say that combat training ranked very high on my activity list over the past two weeks... not when I had him to keep me busy.
