She stepped forward onto the threshold of a tomorrow in which Colin was not burning but safely in conference with Roland and other leaders. Where Veronica stood for justice. Where Josette played with a little girl with soft brown hair and a bright smile.
A future in which humankind was not returning to war upon itself. Where the Power and the Spirit truly connected men, women, and children such that the betrayal of Toby would never again be possible. That could never birth nor shape another Lenore. It would take time, as all human craft did, but that unity of spirit would overcome strife and selfish desire at each turn.
Forward into a tomorrow that was a time to be thankful for all that was achieved and to move into the future
