I would awaken at the sight of the car itself having been as black as tar with the only illumination coming from the sight of a cigarette butt luminescent and its following smoke disappearing along with those ignited embers. Assessing the scene of the vehicle parked at a rather hidden spot covered by dozens of trees towering nearby, only a small beam of moonlight made its way through the evergreen canopy as my gaze began to adjust to this stygian darkness.
