I jolted awake to the loud, insistent banging on the door. My heart raced as the noise broke through the haze of sleep. Disoriented, I blinked and realized I was wrapped in Cassian’s arms, both of us lying naked beneath the sheets.
The memory of last night came flooding back in vivid flashes—his touch, his kisses, the way he’d looked at me. My cheeks burned as I turned my gaze to Cassian, who was now fully awake and watching the door with a grim expression, as though he’d been expecting this intrusion.
“Cassian, you bastard! Open the f*****g door!” Dane’s voice roared from the other side, his tone laced with rage. “Just how long do you think your pathetic seal will keep me out? Don’t be a coward—come out and face me like a man!”
