I reached at home and went to my room I get changed and went downstairs billy was sitting in the living room

" I don't want to cook right now I'm tired... I should order pizza" I said

I pull my phone from pocket and order for a pizza

in background billy yell

" pizza for me too"

I said okay I'll order for you too and went to living room and sit on the couch

and starts scrolling my phone

" hey! angry Bird" billy said

I turn my face towards him and said

" what now billy I order pizza for you okay...

" It's not about the pizza.. he said

I narrow my eyes and said

" then what it's about...

" promise me you won't get angry on me I'm just curious" he replied

I said I'll promise I won't get angry now tell me.

" why James walter wants to meet you I mean is he your boyfriend.. he said

" what!!! No no no... how could you think of that... are you mad... I throw a cushion at him

" relax angry Bird.. I am just curious .. he said

I take a deep breath and try to control my temper

" if you are so curious about my life so I'll tell you what he was doing here ... I took a another deep breath... but you have to promise me you won't tell anyone about it.. and secondly you have to help me when I needed your help ..... I think for a second... and No blackmailing is allowed.. "

" okay I'll promise I won't tell anybody and I'll not blackmail you" he said

I said Pinky promise he said yeah pinky promise... then pizza arrived billy went to the door to take the pizza from delivery guy... he gave me the pizza and we both starts eating our pizza..

" okay then listen it's a top secret... I told you about a guy couple of weeks ago that hit my car...

he think about a second then he said " oh yeah I remember you throw coffee on him ha ha ha.. it was fun

I also starts laughing by remember that incident... I took another slice of pizza ...

" you know who he was James walter....

billy starts laughing again and said

" ha ha ha you are joking right "

I shake my head

" No way.. Damn girl are you serious"

" yup.. I'm totally serious about that no joking.." I said

" then what happened tell me the whole story " he said

" okay.. later then I got the job and I was coming back from work I saw his car at that time I don't know him who he was so... I make a huge mess that I can't fixed ... I took another slice of pizza... He was my boss I mean not now.."

" wait wait... let me process this you throw coffee on James walter and then he was your boss but not now .. I don't understand what are talking" he said

" okay let me put in simple words..

he was my boss and I don't know that I was working for him .... but I create a huge mess I demaged it's expensive car ... and he insult me in front of everyone for stealing a bracelet which was mine that's why I resign from job.

... so technically he is now my x boss"

billy starts yawning and said

" I don't understand a single word you say "

I glare at him and said

" you are such a dumb i***t billy .. why am I telling you that .... give me back my pizza..

he quickly grab her pizza box and rushed towards his room and I also chase him but he was so fast he locked the room

I can't do anything so I went to my room and lean back on the bed I starts staring at the ceiling and thought

" why James take me to the doctor ..is he care about me or is he being just nice ....

because of him I fall ... I fall asleep thinking about him..

The next morning I starts tracing my phone with my hand on the bedside table because I couldn't open my eyes I grab the first thing that I touch and move closer to my eyes

" oh f**k where is my phone "

I open my eyes and sit on bed swinging my legs down and starts stretching my arms then I starts looking for my phone

I grab my phone from bedside table and check the time it was 8'O clock I went to take shower

After taking shower I opened the closet and grab a oversized black t shirt and some ripped denim shorts and put it on I tucked the t shirt from side and make a messy bun and put it on white sneaker

I grab the car keys from bag and went downstairs to garage just then I remember

" oh f**k I forgot I parked my car outside of the office s**t what should I do now... I pull my phone from my pocket and text ellie that I'm gonna be late today she texted me back and said it's alright I'll manage

I call sarah and asked her

" hello Sarah how's you"

" I'm good and you" she replied on the other side of the phone

" I'm fine.. are you at office" I asked her

" No I'm on way to office" she replied

" oh Great can you gave me ride to office"

I said

she replied of course I'll be at your house in 5 minutes she hung up the phone and I went outside of the house after 5 minutes sarah arrived I quickly get in her car she starts driving

" I'm so sorry for bothering you actually I left my car outside of the office" I said

she asked why you left your car I said oh shoot I forget to tell you what happened yesterday she looked at me and said what happened ?

" Nothing much I make myself embarrassed again in front of james and he take me to the doctor" I said

" am I heard you right Mr James walter take you to the doctor " she said and keep staring at my face

" look at the road you'll kill us both"

she looked back at the road

" I mean yeah it's his fault so... I said

she said tell me every single detail

I told her every single detail she wants...

she starts laughing at me and said what the doctor gave you candy...

I mumble

" As if what happened to me was not enough and she also make me embarrassed"

" Stop laughing I didn't asked for candy the doctor gave me"

we reached at office I get out from her car and said thank you so much for the to giving me the ride and went to my car and unlock it I get in the car

sarah locked her car and came to me and said

" Are you not coming inside "

I replied

" No I'm getting late for work"

she smiled and said " let's go Lara I'm missing you just one coffee "

I thought in my mind

" if James was up there... what if he saw me... well I also wanted to see him... what.stupid . stupid.. no no.. he has a girlfriend and I also have a boyfriend.. why am I thinking so much about him.. he is no one" I zone out

sarah opened the car door and starts dragging me from my shirt sleeve I said what are doing she crossed her arms and said are you coming or not

I said" okay fine I'm coming with you but if James saw me I swear I'll kill you"

she grin and said that's not gonna happened I locked my car and went inside with her

we both sit on the chair and she gave me a cup of coffee

I asked her

" Did you figure out something"

she replied

" About what?

I glare and said About what.. about the contract you are just futile.. I should know that.

she replied

" oh s**t I totally forgot about that but don't worry I got the solution..

" So you're telling me the most important thing now.. " I said in a angry tone

"just relax and I'm sorry it's just fly out of my mind she said to me

I said " okay so tell me hurry up "

she took a sip of coffee and starts speaking

" okay then listen you need to gave a 6 months notice to the HR department and you have to gave a replacement for the job "

I said" that's it it's so easy I can do that"

she said " it's not easy you need too... Lara hide quickly

I panicked and said wait what..why she pointed towards James.. I turn around and saw James was walking towards sarah..

I quickly hide under the sarah desk and said to sarah just go cover for me

sarah quickly went to James and try to distracted him and I was waiting under the table for her single

I peak out a little bit to see the situation I saw James was still talking to sarah but his back is towards me... sarah gave me the signal.

I starts walking on my knees and hands like soldier who was fighting in a war zone I starts imaging the whole war zone

"I have a g*n in my hand and I starts dodging the bullets and firing with the g*n I was rolling on ground bullet shell were everywhere the sounds of screaming and I killed several enemies..

but then I saw a pair of shoes.... I raised my gaze and saw Mr chris staring at me I quickly get up on my feet and starts dusting my hands

" what are doing down there" he asked

" oh f**k I got cought.. what should I do.. why me always.. I thought

I heard footsteps behind me

" oh Lara what are you doing here" James said

" yeah that's what I'm asking her what is doing down there" chris said to James

James gave confused looked to chris and said down there? chris replied yeah she was on her knees..

" s**t what should I do..

I clear my throat and said

" what I was doing down.. there.. ahmm.. I drop something... but now I don't remember what it was.. just forget about it..

James gave me a smile and said

" you need rest what are you doing at office I thought you said you are not coming today"

I was starts biting my lower lip and said

" I... I grab sarah arms and pull her closer I'm here to pick her up.. for lunch.. I address sarah and said right sarah..

she replied " yeah.. yeah she is right.. she is right.. she is here to pick me up for lunch

I gave them a awkward smile

James starts looking at his wrist watch and said " lunch at this time"

" Damn he is too smart but I'm also smart.. I thought

" yeah at this time is their any restriction we can't eat lunch at this time" I said directly looking into James eyes

" no no their is not" chris answer

" I'm also hungry and I know a best restaurant we should go" chris said

as am I about to say no Natalie came behind from James and hold his hand and said

" where we are going?

James turn his face towards Natalie and said

" what a surprise and what are you doing here babe"

I mumble

" babe..

I thought in my mind

" why I am so uncomfortable.. what am I doing here... . why am I getting jealous...I'm not supposed to be here..

I said excuse me I have to go

chris said where I said I forget something at home so it's urgent

I looked at James natalie arms wrapped around him

" I can gave you ride " chris said

I replied " I don't want to bother you"

he said" oh come on you are not bothering me"

James starts looking at my eyes

I try hard to not make eye contact With James..

" I should go with chris.. but my car... maybe billy help me out with that.."

I clear my throat and said

" ahmmm okay fine if you are not bothered"

Chris smiled and said let's go he hold my hand and I glance over James last time his eyes were on me..

Chris and I went outside he opened his car door for me I sit in his car he also and starts driving...

I was quite in the car and then I said

" this is not the way to my house"

" I know that we are not going to your house" chris said

" where we are going then? I asked him

" I know you don't want to go home so we are going to drink some coffee" chris said

I asked him how you know that he turn his towards me and said I have alot of experience with girls

I gave him a shocked look

" oh really so you are kinda of playboy" I said

" No.. I'm just kidding but I have experience with few" he said with smile

he stops the car in front of beautiful mansion and I turn my face towards him and said where are we... he replied... this is my house...

" I thought you said we are going to drink coffee but...

" yeah you thought right I'll make coffee for you..

he opened the car door for me and leads me inside the house...

" oh wow you have pretty good taste I must say that I scanned the house

he smiled and said " well thanks I'm glad you liked it.. make your self comfortable .. I'll be back in a sec

I said " yeah sure..

I starts wondering in the room and saw some pictures on the beautiful side table

I move closer and picked up a picture..

" it was a picture of james and chris having fun on the beach"

I placed the picture back and turn around and saw chris holding a tray walking towards me

he said please sit the coffee is ready..

I sit on the velvet couch.. and took a sip of coffee and said

" well I'm impressed you know how to make a coffee..aleast you are not like Mr James...

he starts laughing and said

" James is different than me he don't like doing that kind of stuff..

I thought in my mind

" yeah he is right... he is different.."

" can I ask you something " I said

he nodded

" how long you and Mr James are been friends" I said

" since we are in kindergarten and how long you have been working with James"

" only one month and I resign from job .. don't get me wrong.... but Mr James is the rude person I have ever met in my life.." I said

he asked me why I resign I replied

" it's a long story and it's not that interested so I think you can get bored and are you living alone here..

" No I'm living with my sister but unfortunately she has a some work to do so she is not here and tell me about your self Lara"

My starts phone ringing I excuse chris and went to the picked the call

" Hello Alex"I said

" How are you babe and sorry I didn't pick your call I was busy in work" Alex replied on the other side of the phone

" It's alright I'm also busy in work can I call you back " I said

" Yeah sure but don't forget to call me and I love you" he said

I said sure I'll call you and hung up the phone and went back to chris and sit on the couch

Chris starts staring at me from Head to toe and it's make me uncomfortable so I asked him

" Why you are looking me like that"

He sign long.. and said " I wish I was your mirror, so that I could look at you every morning"

I narrow my eyes and said " oh so are flirting with me..

He said" you think it's flirting but it's just a innocent wish of mine "

I stand up from couch and said

" I hate to break your heart but I have boyfriend"

He also get up from armchair and came closer to me and said

" Ouch it's hurts... But I respect that you have boyfriend but we can be friends right..

I smiled and said yeah of course we can be friends and I have to leave to now he said I can gave a you ride

" No I'll manage" I said

He walked me to the door

" Thank you so much for the coffee it was nice meeting you and sorry for bothering you"I said

" Not at all and I enjoy your company I hope I'll meet with you soon "

I smiled and said good bye to him then I call for a cab the cab arrived in just 2 minutes I get in the cab and went to cafe.

I reached at cafe and went inside

Ellie Saw me and said " you are late.. lara where you have been

I said I'm sorry I was stuck somewhere.... I really really sorry.. and don't tell me marry is here

She said

" Yeah she is here...and she asked me hundred times Where you been.

A voice came behind from me

" Lara my office right now" marry said

" f**k I turn around and saw marry standing with crossed arms I saw her angry face and said

" Yes ma'am I'm coming"

I went to her office

" Why are you so late .. she asked me in angry tone

" Ma'am... a very old friend of mine was in hospital so I was at the hospital... that's why I came late..

I lied

" What happened to him... She asked me

" Oh f**k what should I say " I thought

" He has cancer... I make a sad face..

" Oh I'm sorry you should be with him... Don't come tomorrow lara

" Oh no ma'am... the work comes first.

I said

" Please lara I insists" she said
