Derek's POV:
I sat there on the bed and held her as she shed a few tears onto my chest. Listening to her silently cry was causing a bit of pain in my chest. I hated seeing her upset like this and all I wanted to do was make her feel better again, I just didn't know how to do it. So I just did the only thing I knew how. I rubbed her back and made a calming, soothing sound until she started to calm down and wasn't crying quite as much.
"No one's going to hurt you," I told her again.
"Someone from my past was at the charity ball." She suddenly started off telling me like Dr. Hart told me she might suddenly do as she pulled away from me and I did what he told me to do, just listen and let her tell me what she wants to tell me.
