Julie's POV:
I walked back into the house and by this time, most of the guests have moved outside. There were still several in the living area drinking and laughing but not nearly as many as at the start of the party. I started to head towards the entrance when I saw Derek walking down the stairs.
"Hey there." He said with a smile and walked over to me once he got to the bottom of the steps.
"Are you having fun?" He asked and I laughed.
"If you call having blisters on my feet and having to listen to business talk that sounds like it is in a foreign language fun then yeah, I guess I'm having a blast." I joked with him and he laughed.
"What were you doing coming from upstairs? Aren't you supposed to stay down here during the party in case someone were to show up or want to leave or need
