The Beginning Two years had passed since prince Sando of Gaa kingdom went to war with his father to the land of Amor where the princess of Amor was captured alongside her father and other top figures of Amor kingdom. Prince Sando whose first time to go to war was during the war between Amor and Gaa never stopped regretting being a party to it. He saw tens of thousands of dead bodies and he saw the smile in his father's face when he said, "Victory is ours!!!" and raised his hands in the air right there in the battlefield. Sando had ignored him and was about to return to the camp with his men when he saw some of the top figures of Amor being dragged towards the road leading to the camp of the king of Gaa and his army. The prince waited and one of his men who also stopped his horse near his said, "It is always like that when a kingdom is defeated and the king of that land is captured. He will be taken to the land of Gaa and in front of every one in the land of Gaa, disgraced. He will be beaten and made to drink the urine of the king; your father. I know the sight of it makes you uncomfortable because you have never been to war with us until now but with time you will get used to it all" Prince Sando turned his face towards the soldier that had spoken. "You sound like an idiot". he said and continued, "I can never get used to seeing blood and anyone who gets used to seeing the blood of another human being needs his own blood shed" Prince Sando sounded and kicked his horse. His men followed suit. When they had arrived the camp of the king of Gaa the prince beheld a sight that troubled him the more. He saw that the princess of Amor was tied to a tree and some of the soldiers at the camp were molesting her. What surprised the prince was the fact that the princess was not screaming, instead she was trying to kick off the soldiers as they played with her dress. The prince watched this until the same soldier that spoke to him while they were returning to the camp came behind him and stood, then said, "That is the princess of Amor kingdom. She was said to have fought in a battle before but I doubt that she fought in a real battle. She is the same with her father so it was said; stubborn and arrogant. It is good for her that today she can see that nothing lasts forever, not even power" "You are right soldier; nothing lasts forever and that includes you and my father, so next time you dance in the field of battle with your sharpened sword, cutting people to the ground know it too well that a day shall come when you will be the one who dies and when that day comes I would love to look into your face and into your eyes and see what your expression will be" The prince left him standing there and walked up to the princess. The men stopped playing with her dress and dispersed. The princess who was gnashing her teeth in anger and detest looked at the prince and spat at him. The prince cleaned the spit off his cloth. "This can not help you; spitting on me or trying to kick the soldiers" said the Prince. "What then do you suggest I do mister handsome?; fold my hands and watch them force themselves on me?" Said the princess. The prince then left her there and retired to his chamber. That night the king of Gaa told his army that they will return to Gaa the next day and they cheered through the night with their swords raised in the air. Some of them were dancing. The king then left them to check on his prince but when he went into his chamber he could not find him there. He then inquired of him but was told he left the camp before nightfall. This troubled the king and he wondered why the son had to leave camp without informing him. That night he could not sleep in the camp till dawn. In the morning of the next day he commanded his troops to get ready for departure. The king of Amor with his princess were not to ride on horses instead they were to walk on foot with other foot soldiers, with their hands bound behind them. The King's orders were obeyed and the king of Amor who was already dressed in a slave cloth with his daughter who was still in her princess_like dress and her unkept hair were made to walk. They left the camp. Back in the palace of the king of Gaa, the king who was told his son did not return to the palace the day before was shocked amidst celebrations of the people of Gaa for having their king win the war against the king of Amor. He left the people outside and was on his way into the big palace when he saw his wife; the queen coming out to meet with him with the officials of the palace. As she was greeting him the first thing the king wanted to know was the whereabout of his son, Sando. The queen told him that Sando did not return to the palace the night before and that she and the rest were actually stepping out to welcome him and her son. The king told the queen what had happened and how the son left the camp. A soldier stepped forward and told the king and the queen what last he discussed with the Prince before his departure from the camp. Upon revealing this the king was made to know the last person was not actually the soldier but the princess of Amor where she was tied against a tree at the camp.
