“He- He isn’t active in your territory. He is from my hometown. And I got away from him.”
“Hometown?”
“I’ll tell you in exchange for your name!”
He tsks, letting go of me. His voice seems far away as he speaks again. “Not interested.”
I take a deep breath, lowering my head again.
“Turn around, Rachel.”
Shaking my head, I refuse to fulfill his request. “I am not allowed to look at you.”
“Do it anyway!”
With a deep breath, I turn around slowly, keeping my head low. As soon as I have turned around fully, he steps into me, making me step back and hitting my back against the door. He grabs my chin, lifting my head up to look at him and our eyes lock.
“I should go, Mr. Rodberg.” I say in a whisper, and he smirks at me.
“I don’t think so.” He retorts mockingly, and I
