Chapter 22: The Vision The prophet Muhmad did not sleep that night. He sat instead in his small, plain room, contemplating the worlds of perhaps and could-be. He knew the vision he would give on the morrow would affect the fate, not just of the two men who asked him, but of all Parsina as well. In addition, he knew that by telling them his vision, he would bring about his own death as the course of destiny played itself out.
