 "Insolent girl, who do you think you are?," I walk from one side to the other like a caged bird, and the analogy, instead of seeming appropriate, I find it most pathetic. "You caught me by surprise, that's why…" I stop abruptly with a frown on my face, looking out the huge window of my room at the lights that still adorn the darkness of the Ontario night, trying to make sense of this whole thing that I find most unbelievable and frustrating.  I still can't believe I stayed static and said absolutely nothing to that annoying brat. That attitude is not like me, that's never happened to me with anyone, not even with Miles; that can be quite intimidating, dangerous... and rightly so. But a five-foot-six brat? I can't even say that her almost angelic features could cause any kind of trauma
