Henley
I woke to a room filled with boxes, and Declan was nowhere to be seen. I looked up, and sunlight was streaming through the window at an angle, so it was probably already the afternoon. I sat up on the edge of the bed, feeling groggy, and my head hurt. I almost lay back down, but I needed to go to the palace to see what I could do to help my mother.
From the look of the room, this must have been Declan's castle. I had never seen his bedroom before, so I didn't know for sure, but the dark wood and decor reminded me of him.
But I wondered what all the boxes were. Then I realized that he probably had someone go to the castle to pack my things while we were away. I didn't know whether to be grateful or angry, so I settled for grateful, knowing his heart was in the right place.
