Cassia couldn’t concentrate.
Not in the lecture hall. Not in the lab. Not even in the cafeteria surrounded by her fellow interns. Every page she tried to read blurred into one command:
“You don’t come until I say so.”
She had obeyed. She had let him study her, touch her, make her whisper anatomy while her thighs shook and her voice broke. She had thanked him with every gasp. But he hadn’t called for her since the exam room incident two nights ago.
No new messages. No summons. No correction.
The silence felt like punishment.
And tonight, she snapped.
Cassia waited until the corridors emptied. Midnight rounds were done. The nurses were tucked into breakrooms. Security was loose. She walked down the hall to his office—barely thinking, her body acting on impulse and frustration.
