  I was still in a daze.   The project had been progressing smoothly in the early stages, but these past few days, everything suddenly fell apart over material costs and construction design. The local contractors and material suppliers unexpectedly joined forces to challenge us, nitpicking the contract terms and insisting that we had unilaterally breached the agreement. They claimed the construction had gone beyond the agreed scope, causing them significant losses.   I had no solution to offer.
