Chapter 27 Too Late to Protect Her

829 Mots

Daniel searched relentlessly, checking nearly every warehouse around. Sweat was dripping down his forehead, and an uneasy feeling gnawed at his gut. That van had definitely stopped in this area—no way those people just vanished. He shoved open another heavy metal door, only to crash into someone. “Sophie!” he grabbed her arm tight. Finally, he'd found her! “Daniel?!” Her face went pale, clearly shocked. “What are you doing here?” Before he could even respond, a scream pierced through the warehouse. “No!!!” Daniel's blood ran cold. He let go of Sophie and bolted towards the sound. And then he saw it—and snapped. Emily was on the floor, half-naked, with filthy hands pawing at her. One of the men had something disgusting in his hand, pushing it between her legs.
