Splash. Splash. Fabian and Lucas dove into the sea at the same time. "Evelyn!" Evelyn floated limply at the surface of the water. Fabian's heart dropped, and without wasting a second, he kicked hard, arms slicing through the waves as he swam toward her with all he had. Lucas wasn't far behind—they both raced toward her like their lives depended on it. "Evelyn!" Fabian made it first, grabbing hold of her. Her eyes were shut, completely unconscious. "Evelyn, Evelyn!" He called her name over and over, panic surging through his voice. He didn't even look back at Lucas—just cradled her tight and started swimming back toward the cruise ship. People onboard had already heard the commotion and were shouting for help, calling over the lifeguards. "Evelyn, wake up, please!"
