James took Grace to the hospital. After the check-up, the doctor said it was just a fever from a cold and put her on an IV drip. Coincidentally, their room was right beneath the floor where Emily was staying. “Grace, feeling any better?” James helped her lie down, tucked her in carefully, and asked gently. “I'm okay. James, you should go home and rest. I'll be fine here alone,” Grace said weakly, her voice soft. “I'll stay here with you, just get some sleep,” he replied, not planning to leave.
