Sarah's POV I drifted through layers of consciousness, surrounded by noise and chaos my mind couldn't process. Voices argued around me, too loud, too jumbled—making my head throb with every syllable. I couldn't tell how much time passed before the commotion finally faded. My body swayed as I was half-carried, half-dragged to someplace soft. Then came the sharp pinch of a needle entering my skin.
