Angela stepped into the bridal room, the one usually visited by the bride’s friends.

The moment Angela stepped into the room, she immediately covered her mouth as she suddenly felt nauseous from the smell of the flowers inside.

“Angela, are you okay?” Vanessa, who saw her, quickly got up from her seat and rushed toward Angela, who was still standing near the door.

Angela pushed away Vanessa’s hand that was about to touch her and glared sharply at her stepmother.

“Congratulations to your daughter and to you too,” Angela said quickly, trying her best to hold back the nausea.

“Please forgive Anita for making such a mistake,” Vanessa said, almost making Angela laugh out loud.

“Didn’t you do the same thing in the past?” Angela snapped, suddenly feeling really pissed.

“Did you ever apologize to my mom like this too?” Angela continued, which instantly made Vanessa lift her hand, ready to slap Angela.

“Stop right now or I’ll cancel this wedding myself,”

George’s voice made Vanessa freeze and immediately lower her hand. Not only did she lower it, but she even hid it behind her back.

“Stop pretending to care. You really have no right to act like that,” Angela said to her father, who was just as pathetic as all of them.

Angela decided to leave the room and immediately exited the hotel. She was completely fed up with everyone in her family.

The next day, Leonard came to the restaurant that his mom had told him about. Today, Leonard planned to end it once and for all — no more blind dates in the future.

“Are you Petricia?” Leonard asked the woman who had been waiting alone at the table.

“You must be Leonard.”

The woman’s voice, as she stood up and extended her hand to greet him, surprised Leonard a bit because of her enthusiasm.

“I’ve been wanting to meet you for so long, and suddenly my mom told me she arranged a blind date with you,” Petricia started the conversation so seriously and enthusiastically.

“Is that so?” Leonard replied, feeling a bit confused about how to respond.

Angela, who happened to be at the same restaurant and sitting at a table not too far from them, decided to observe.

“Look at him, he doesn’t even know he has a child and here he is on a blind date with a beautiful woman,” Angela muttered as she sipped her drink.

Earlier that morning, Angela had felt something odd with her body and decided to buy a pregnancy test and check first thing in the morning. Unfortunately, the two lines that appeared shocked her a little. Because of that, Angela immediately went to get a checkup — and it was confirmed that there really was a fetus inside her.

That’s why Angela chose to sit alone at the restaurant to comfort herself, and this was what she ended up seeing.

The constant ringing of Petricia’s phone made her pause her words over and over, and she kept glancing at Leonard, who looked completely uninterested in what she was saying.

“Do you already have someone you want to marry?” Petricia suddenly asked, making Leonard lift his head.

Leonard’s gaze wasn’t on Petricia in front of him, but on Angela, who was sitting behind Petricia, looking in his direction.

Angela, realizing this, quickly turned her gaze elsewhere.

“Who are you looking at?” Petricia asked, following Leonard’s line of sight.

“Ah, no one,” Leonard answered, although somehow something felt off right then.

“What did you ask just now?” Leonard tried to refocus on Petricia.

“Do you already have someone you want to marry?” Petricia repeated, making Leonard fall silent.

“You must be having a hard time answering that,” Petricia continued, feeling like she had asked the wrong question.

Petricia glanced at her phone and suddenly said, “Sorry to end this like this, but I have an appointment with my advisor now.”

Petricia stood up, making Leonard confused as he also stood up.

“It was nice to meet you. Now go after that woman, and I wish you all the best with her,” Petricia said before leaving, leaving Leonard standing there confused.

“Looks like she messed that up,” Angela mumbled, still watching them.

Leonard looked at Petricia leaving, then sat back down and looked at his empty table. Only then did Leonard realize he hadn’t ordered anything at all.

Angela got up from her seat and walked over to the cashier to pay her bill.

Leonard saw that, immediately got up, and followed her.

“We meet again here,” Leonard said as he quickened his steps to catch up to Angela, who was trying to avoid him.

“Ah, yeah.” Angela replied, deciding to slow her pace.

“Looks like you ruined it,” Angela said, glancing at Leonard, who was also looking at her.

“I didn’t say anything. In fact, she even wished me luck with you,” Leonard replied, which made Angela a bit confused.

“She thought I was into you,” Leonard added, explaining.

“Ah, you must really be into me for her to notice,” Angela shot back, which made Leonard laugh.

Angela fell silent for a moment, wondering if she should tell Leonard about the baby inside her.

“Do you think we’d be a good match together?” Leonard suddenly asked, surprising Angela.

“Your question sounds a bit scary,” Angela answered, stopping as she reached her car.

“For some reason, I keep feeling like you’re really familiar,” Leonard suddenly said.

Angela, hearing that, quickly tried to ignore it and got into her car.

“Of course, since you’re the one who got me pregnant,” Angela said under her breath while showing Leonard the ultrasound result she had gotten earlier.

Leonard looked at Angela, who kept staring at him.

“Is there something you want to say to me?” Leonard asked Angela, who was still holding her window down and looking at him.

“No, it’s nothing,” Angela replied, thinking she was insane for even considering saying something she definitely couldn’t.

“Well then, I hope your next date goes well,” Angela finally said, choosing to say something she probably shouldn’t have — especially since that man was the father of the baby inside her.

Though reluctant, Angela decided to drive off, leaving Leonard standing there alone.
