Kaylie's brilliant idea makes excellent results; the black cloud shrouding the Red Sapphire Pack vanishes, replaced by gentle raindrops. With immense pride, Ted announces to everyone about Kaylie's heroic contribution and immediately instructs me to fetch Kaylie, Mom and Adam to come to the Red Sapphire Pack. Ted wants to host a grand and lavish celebration as a gesture of gratitude for Kaylie's brilliant idea in saving the pack and to formally introduce her as his daughter.
"Can't we wait to hold the party after Leah's 100 th-day memorial?" I ask, feeling it might not be appropriate to have such a grand celebration while we are still mourning Leah's loss.
"Leah would want this to happen. She wouldn't want us to be sad for too long. So, let's organize the party to welcome K
