I tried to release Mia's embrace from my neck, but she wouldn't budge. With her small body, she clung to me, like a koala hanging from a tree. "Mia, let go. Don't hug me so tightly. Show some respect. I am your alpha. You should bow in respect, not hug me. Do you think I'm your father?" I said angrily as I saw Kaylie walking away, yelling that she would wait for me at home.
"You're not my father, Luc, but you're my future husband. I'm more deserving to be your Luna than that hybrid vampire," Mia said, trying to kiss me.
I turned my face away and said coldly, "Release your embrace in three seconds, or I'll throw you off." I started counting, "One... two..."
My threat worked, and Mia let go of my waist and released her hands from my neck, pouting as she spoke, "I've loved you
