“What's going on?" I ask as I follow Eric and Marcus through the house to the front porch.
I look back and watch the door shut as Juliet stares after us. She looks as confused as I feel but she doesn't follow us outside. The door shuts between us and I turn back to Eric and Marcus. Both of them are eyeing me closely and it makes me suspicious. They walk down the steps of the porch and we all stand in the driveway.
The sun is already down but the porch light shines on us. We stand in a triangle and my nerves are starting to get the better of me. I'm angry, upset, and confused. I am every emotion right now, mostly negative. And I still haven't had the opportunity to talk to Juliet.
