As we return to the pack house and our daily lives, I feel like I have been yanked out of paradise.
On top of that, we are so taken by our tasks as future Luna and future Alpha that we barely get to see each other.
Since Kai asked Alpha Cayden for his official blessing, it seems like the world has been turned upside down. Kai was elated to take over, or at least acted like it, Ace was pissed about his brother being announced as the new heir, even if I don’t know what his problem was, and I was about to faint because I was turning into a paranoid wreck.
Always looking over my shoulder to see who could be stabbing me in the back.
“This is so ridiculous,” Ace growls as he holds up a decorative string for me to hand him a strip of adhesive tape to put it up to the window frame.
