“Honey, have you thought of going somewhere for our Anniversary date?” Ellie asked Jonathan while preparing the food. “We'll just be here at home.” Jonathan's simple answer. Ellie was slightly disappointed because this wasn't what she expected her husband to answer her. Next week is their Wedding Anniversary and it is new that they will celebrate it at home, unlike in previous years when they always go out of the country. “I'm leaving.” “Oh wait, this is your lunch.” she gently handed him the lunch box with a smile on her face. The man took it and then left. It seems that he forgot to kiss his wife on the cheek before leaving. “What's that?” astonishment Ellie asked herself. Elijah Romano or better known as ‘Ellie’ had been married for four years to Jonathan Torres who was her high school crush back then. During the four years of their marriage, everything went well until the day came when Jonathan was promoted to be a Managing Director of the company. Jonathan's relationship with Ellie started to get cold because of his busy work but Ellie just ignored it because she thought that her husband do this for their future. While Ellie was cleaning the table, she saw her husband's cellphone placed on the chair and there, she realized that maybe because of the hurry, her husband had left the cellphone. “I thought he just forgot to kiss me, but he also forgot his cellphone, how ridiculous,” Ellie whispered to herself. Ellie immediately fixes herself to be presentable by going to her husband’s office to hand over the leftover cellphone. She was worried that someone important might have called her husband. When she got out of the taxi in front of the company, the guard immediately asked her. “I'm the wife of the Managing Director, I'll just hand him his cellphone,” Ellie replied. The guard should try to call the secretary of the Managing Director to confirm what Ellie is saying but suddenly Dexie, the Deputy CEO of the company where Jonathan works and who is also Ellie's only Bestfriend, arrives. Her name is Dexie Castillo, the only daughter of a prominent politician and Chairman of STENSON GROUP who earns 18 Billion pesos per month. She's the only friend of Ellie had right now. “Ma'am!” shock of the guard to see the Deputy CEO. “She's my friend and her husband is the Managing Director so you can let her in,” she commands to the guard. The guard immediately let Ellie in with Dexie. “Thank you.” Ellie was grateful for her friend who helped her. “Hey! It's nothing! We're friends so it's only natural that you can come here anytime.” Dexie's enthusiastic response to her friend while walking with Ellie. “Anyway, what are you doing here?” Dexie asked curiously. “I'll hand over his cellphone, he left it at our home earlier.” “Uhm, I see.” When they got out of the elevator, Dexie wondered why Jonathan's secretary wasn't in her quarter to greet those going to the Managing Director's office. “Wait, why isn't Fionna here?” Dexie wondered. “Maybe she's going to the bathroom for a while,” Ellie replied. Dexie just nodded to her friend. “Maybe you're right.” When they were in front of the door of Jonathan's office, she feels nervous to open it. “Do I look good?” Ellie asks Dexie. “You always look good, Ellie!” Dexie's simple answer. “Please don't make fun with me, I'm serious.” “Fine, you didn't look good as before but, you're still good until now.” Dexie honestly responded with a tiny smile. Ellie started to touch the doorknob and rotated it. When she opened the door, she was suddenly shocked and made her feet stop from walking towards her husband. Her heart almost clenched when she saw that her husband was kissing another woman while it was sitting in the office chair. The tears in her eyes suddenly dripped. Dexie was so speechless too. “H-Honey?!” Jonathan was so shocked and then he immediately pushed away the woman who was on top of him. Because of this, Ellie's eyes couldn't stop the tears flowing down. There was nothing in her mind that her husband could do to deceive her. Her heart's pain was so undeniable. “P-Please, Honey, let me explain,” Jonathan tries to approach her but Ellie steps back. “Honey, This is nothing—” Jonathan couldn't continue what he was going to say because a strong slap from Ellie's cold hand made his face red. “N-Nothing? Are you trying to fool me again? Seriously?” sobbing Ellie asked. “B-Babe, just let her go!” the flirt secretary was trying to catch the attention of Jonathan. Ellie glanced at the secretary, the woman she saw kissing her husband, and her tears suddenly fell down to her neck then she yelled. “Shut up!” She glanced at her husband again while her face was wet with tears accompanied by her hoarseness voice. “So ‘Babe'? T-That's what you call each other?! That's why you suddenly changed because of that woman not because of your job? Is it because she's sexier than me?! Younger?!” After that, Ellie without hesitation walked out the door as Dexie followed her. “Honey! I'll explain it!” Jonathan shouted after her but Ellie ignored it because she was tired of her husband's lies. Ellie had previously suspected that her husband might have another woman and cheated on her because it was often late to go home and still come in the company even on day-off. But, she didn't want to ruin their relationship just because of a suspicion she had, so she decided to act blindly towards this. ••• “Are you okay, Ellie?” Dexie worries about her friend. “Tell me, do I look okay?” Ellie's answer. In a park, Ellie sat in a long chair and silently watches a couple walking while thinking of similar memories they once had with Jonathan. As she thought about that, she couldn't help but ask. “Did he really love me from those years or did he only love me to get his high position at your company?” question bothering in Ellie’s mind. “Only he can answer that, but if that's the case, I will fire him immediately with his flirt secretary. They don't deserve their respective job. They're absolute trash that needs to throw.” Dexie replied calmly. As she sat down, Dexie slowly approached her friend and nuzzled its back. “Don't waste your tears on men like him, he doesn't deserve the tears of a woman he cheated on.” Dexie's soothing advice. Because of this, Ellie hugged Dexie and she couldn't stop herself from crying. “Why did he do this to me?” She feels so much pain in her heart. Dexie just continued to nuzzle Ellie's back. Moments later, Ellie struggled from her friend's embrace and slowly wiped her tear-filled face. “Divorce — I'm going to divorce him,” said Ellie boldly and emphatically. Dexie's eyes immediately widened because she couldn't believe what her friend said. In Dexie's knowledge, Ellie loves Jonathan so much, so she thought that it was impossible for her friend to imagine the divorce but now, it's turned out that her knowledge about her friend is wrong. It never crossed Dexie's mind that Ellie would decide to divorce Jonathan. “Oh my—Are you sure about that?” Dexie ensured her friend's decision. Dexie only got a nod in response from Ellie. Now, Dexie is convinced that Ellie's decision is really serious so she's ready to help her best friend throughout the process. “If your life will be going fine without him, fine, I will support you no matter what,” Dexie replied. “I don't want to spend the rest of my life with him anymore, I'm tired of being a fool for him,” Ellie answered reasonably. >>>>>> Dark clouds fill the sky as if the heavy rain will hit after Ellie and Jonathan get out of the court at the same time. They both happened to be without umbrellas so they could do nothing but watch the pouring rain. As each drop of rain fell, Ellie wasn't aware that her tears were already falling but before Jonathan could notice, she quickly wiped them away. “I'm glad because I met you.” Jonathan tries to start a conversation with Ellie after their divorce was approved but, “I feel sorry for myself because I met and love the guy like you.” Ellie's sarcastic response. Jonathan didn't even try to talk to his ex-wife again so they just remained silent with each other until a red car parked in front of them. There comes out Jonathan’s secretary Fiona holding a black umbrella to fetch her man. “Hello, Ellie, Congrats on your divorce.” Fiona smiled and greeted Ellie as if insulting. Ellie just ignored it. “Babe, let's go!” Fionna said meticulously, seemingly in a hurry as she pulled Jonathan's arm away and simply stared at Ellie as if she wanted to tell Ellie that she was won Jonathan's heart. But before Jonathan could leave with Fionna, Ellie left first despite the heavy rain. She ignored every raindrop that wetted her as long as she could get away from her ex-husband and its no longer mistress. “She's good at being an actress,” Fionna whispered with a smirk. Jonathan didn't seem to like what he heard from his girlfriend. He felt irritated because of it. “Okay, let's go!” Jonathan pulls Fionna into the car. When they got in the car, Jonathan simply glanced out the window as they passed Ellie who was walking soaking wet in the rain. There was a look of concern on the young man's face. Meanwhile, Ellie was soaking wet on the side of the road, she couldn't do anything but sigh and question herself. “What’s wrong with me? Why do I have to suffer like this? Why did God let me to married that guy? Why?!” her resentments. The flow of her tears coincided with the dripping of raindrops on her face so that her crying would not be noticeable. While walking, as if Ellie was not herself, she didn't even notice the man handed the umbrella across from her so she collided with him. “Ellie?” the man suddenly say Ellie's name when the man saw her face. Ellie's spirit quickly awoke when she heard the man pronounce her name as if the man knew her so she quickly raised her gaze to the man to see its face but unexpectedly, Ellie suddenly lost consciousness and fell. Fortunately, the young man caught her right away while holding an umbrella, and seems the time was stopped for them. After that, the man picked Ellie up in his car to take her to the hospital but due to the heavy rain which caused the zero-visibility in the area, he failed to do so, so he just took Ellie to his home. Because Ellie was so wet caused of the heavy rain, the man immediately thought of changing Ellie's clothes but there was a problem, who can change her clothes? Since the mysterious man who helped Ellie had a twin sister, he asked her for help. Greatly, his twin sister quickly agreed. His twin sister hurried to go to his house to take care of Ellie. After getting Ellie to change her wet clothes, the twin takes care of the sick Ellie for two days. ••• “Where am I?” Ellie inquired herself as she woke up in the unfamiliar room. She looked around the room, taking in the details. It was very clean, with a nice white wall and black shutters. The room has full of the white and black interior, and the bed and pillow were separated in the gray shade which gives Ellie the vibes of the male's bedroom causing her to feel something strange. She slowly rolled her eyes around until suddenly someone opened the door and from it, a tall, handsome, and gorgeous man entered carrying a tray of food. In shock, Ellie's body grew cold and she quickly crossed her two arms to cover her chest while nervous. But it just didn't matter to the man who still kept approaching her. “Don't worry, I didn't do anything to you.” the man convinced her. “Eat first so you can regain your strength immediately,” he added. Hesitantly, Ellie just lowered her two hands from her chest. “W-Who are you??” “I didn't think that you became a divorced woman after you married him.” said by man. Ellie suddenly stopped for a moment. “H-How did you find out about that? Did you stalk me?” She wondered as the apprehension she felt was still obvious on her face. She didn't know the man personally so she wondered how the man know it. “I still recognize you even though you've changed a lot, but it looks like you didn't recognize me now. How funny, right?” the young man teased her sarcastically as he lowered the tray he was carrying on an ottoman. Ellie couldn't understand what the man was referring to so she removed the blanket from her lamp and stood up slightly. As she stood up, she slowly walked closer to the man. First step, second, third, and fourth until she could see the man's face clearly. After that, she finally realized who the man is, and a shocking reaction suddenly out to her face. She couldn't believe that the man had changed so much. Her eyes almost widened because of this. “Why do you look at me like that?” The man asked with a smirk. But the girl didn't answer him right away because she was still stunned at him. “Oh! Is that really you? I'm not hallucinating, right? Are you really that? I mean — You've changed a lot!” Ellie asked in shock. The man just smiled at her as he pocketed both hands in his pants. “It’s been ten years since our last met. I'm glad to see you again, Ellie.” the man responded with a smile. Ellie was about to answer but she stopped when she realized something. “W-Why are my clothes dry?” she whispered to herself. She slowly lowered her gaze to her body and there, she realized that she was wearing a man's clothes. “S-So, are you the one who put these clothes on me?” Ellie asked coldly, and because of this, the young man couldn't stop his laughing. “What the hell are you thinking? Are you thinking that I might've—” “Hey, Stop kidding! I'm serious!”
