Prologue
“Haelfir” An old and learned looking man approached the god of creation. He wears a long robe of green, with brown and thick linings placed over some parts of it. Creating an elaborate design that seem like branches and roots of a tree. “Elios...” Haelfir’s tone indicated that he has felt the coming of the god of nature. Not even bothering to look at the old man as, the god of creation simply gazed at the vast horizon before him. Multiple suns are already setting. “I already told you that I would take no part in this scheme of yours.” Haelfir added, still not bothering to look at Elios who, was standing right behind him. “Of course. You did make that explicitly clear when you threatened the whole council of the gods.” The old man worded. “Although I do believe that referring to it as a “scheme” is a bit uncalled for. Haelfir scoffed. “You can call it whatever you want. That would still mean the same to me.” “Still as hardheaded as ever.” Elios said in reply. “I don’t want to get disturbed during this hour Elios. You should be quick and tell me why you came here.” “I want you to know that we have decided things, even without your consent.” The old man went straight to the point. Finally making the god of creation look at him. With the color of sunset being reflected in Haelfir’s eyes. “You do realize that it is the Flauros household you are trying to punish right?” “We all do.” Elios said. “They are bathed in divine blessings after all. But things have changed since eons past. We cannot stick to the old laws.” “Even if you imply the old laws as obsolete, those are things that we swore on. All of us did.” Haelfir said in reply; his gaze still directed at Elios. “Taking it away just because of convenience doesn’t sound that just to me.” “Neither is leaving all their sins unpunished.” The old man commented. “The only reason Arcana is in peace is because of the equilibrium we’ve set. We cannot tilt that nor can we turn a blind eye.” Haelfir turned to look at the sunset yet again. The golden colors have finally come out, gentle in its warmth and painless to the unprotected eyes. “Times have changed Haelfir. You know that as well as we do.” Elios continued. “If we allow things to go on as they are, then it won’t take long before a chain of catastrophes commence. Then it would only be a matter of time before the wizards and witches finally come together and shatter the equilibrium altogether.” “Suit yourselves. But, my stand is still the same.” “Very well.” Elios said, finally turning to take his leave as, roots began sprouting out of the ground. Flowering soon after and releasing pollen that glowed like fireflies which, began turning the old man incorporeal. But before he could disappear entirely, he made one final warning. “Don’t try to stop this Haelfir.” The god of creation glanced at Elios. “Why would I do that.” “Indeed. Why would you?” Was the old man’s words as he finally disappeared entirely. Leaving the god of creation gazing at the horizon yet again. The sky has turned crimson.
