“Mr. Locke, your daughter brought people to hit my daughter first. Cassandra just defended herself—nothing wrong with that,” Richard spoke in a calm and measured tone, a sharp contrast to Martin’s earlier aggression.
Now it all came down to whether the other side was willing to admit it—and how they planned to handle it.
Martin’s face darkened. The shift in truth made his earlier stance feel like a slap to the face. His hand clenched on the armrest of the couch, struggling to hold back his anger.
