The hospital hallway was packed, people moving back and forth. Emilia staggered as she ran, blood trickling down her thigh. Dr. Lee was just up ahead, right in front of her, but no matter how hard she tried, she just couldn’t catch up. Her vision blurred, then everything went black as she collapsed.
“She’s gone?!”
The moment Dominic got word from one of the maids, he rushed to Emilia's hospital room, only to find it empty. He immediately had the maids split up to search for her. They spent nearly three hours scouring the entire hospital, but Emilia was nowhere to be found.
“Damn it!” Dominic snarled, face dark as he kicked over a table. The two maids stood frozen, heads low, completely terrified.
