Evelyn instantly got the message and turned on her heel toward the entrance.
Outside the villa, Julian was still behind the wheel of his usual Maybach. He had his sunglasses on, one hand lazily draped on the steering wheel, and the other resting outside the window.
Evelyn walked straight to the passenger seat, opened the door, and got in.
"What brings you here?" She glanced at the wind chime hanging by the door, the corners of her mouth lifting slightly.
Julian started the car as she buckled up. "Mrs. Everett's first day at work—I figured I'd do the honors of escorting you."
Evelyn laughed, "Getting a personal drop-off from you? That's quite the VIP treatment."
Seeing her teasing smile, Julian's lips curved a little too, clearly in a good mood.
