A man and a woman strolled right up to the private room door like they owned the place. The moment Lucy saw who it was, her heart dropped. For a second, she even forgot to shove off Michael's filthy hand. This whole situation was already humiliating enough, but she really didn't expect to bump into Alexander here of all places. He stood in the doorway, face like ice, sharp eyes fixed on her like daggers. And the petite woman clinging onto his arm all sweet and cozy? That was her sister, Olivia. What were the two of them doing here together? And why the hell did they look so close? Like... a couple? Olivia's eyes widened in shock the second she spotted Lucy. "Sis? What are you doing here?" She looked genuinely surprised, like it never crossed her mind Lucy might be in a place like this. Snapping out of her daze, Lucy immediately yanked herself free from Michael's grip. Her hand slipped. The wine glass dropped and smashed on the floor, red wine splashing all over his pants. "You b***h! Got no idea how to behave, huh?" He shoved her hard and slapped her across the face without warning. Her head snapped to the side, ears ringing, mind going completely blank. She stood there motionless, head down, fists clenched so tightly her knuckles were white. Her eyes burned red, trying to hold back tears. Michael's disgusting words and behavior didn't matter that much. But getting humiliated like this—right in front of Alexander—made her want to disappear into the ground. Under the bright lights, with much of her skin exposed, Lucy's tall legs and sleek body were impossible to ignore. She looked like walking temptation. Olivia's eyes flashed with jealousy. She scanned Lucy up and down with a look of pure disdain. "Sis, seriously? What are you even wearing?" Alexander's gaze darkened at her words. That wasn't even an outfit—just random scraps barely covering anything. And yeah, he saw her just now, snuggled up to Michael, pouring him drinks, letting him touch her all over. No shame at all. One slap definitely wasn't going to wake this gold-digging woman up. His face twisted in rage—he looked like he could strangle her right then and there. She'd really stooped that low—selling herself for money again? Exactly how much did she want this time? Grinding his teeth, Alexander forced out the words. "Lucy, do you have any decency left at all?" Before she could say a word, Olivia jumped in, eyebrows knotted like some self-righteous crusader. "Exactly! Sis, come on! Mr. Reed's a married man. Even if you're desperate for cash, you can't go stealing someone's husband!" Lucy turned to look at her, eyes full of disbelief. Under the glare of the lights, Olivia looked back smug and triumphant, like she'd just won. And suddenly, it all clicked. No wonder Olivia had "helpfully" hooked her up with this job—it was a setup from the get-go. She knew Lucy used to date Alexander, didn't she? That must be why she went all out to stage this train wreck—just to make Lucy look like trash in front of him. But now, no matter how unfair it was, she couldn't explain a damn thing. To Alexander, her silence said everything. His lips curled into a bitter smile as he pulled out a checkbook and scribbled across it carelessly. "Well, since you need money so bad, here's a chance to earn some." He held the check between two fingers like tossing scraps to a beggar. "Go out there, do a strip show for everyone. Do a good job..." His tone was cold and superior. "This million's yours."
