So that very night, Brandon suddenly got the idea to take her on a camping trip. Just as the car pulled up to the campsite, Elena remembered what she had to do and quickly reached out to Nathan.
“Nathan, when are you coming back? I've got something for you—someone asked me to return it.”
“Probably in the next couple days. What is it?”
“It's—” Elena was just about to tell him they were a few books, when Brandon snatched the phone from her and tossed it far away.
“You're calling Nathan?” he asked sharply. “You're mine now. Don't go around calling other guys, got it?”
Elena couldn't help but laugh. “Relax—I'm just returning something for a friend. What are you even jealous about?”
