Gabriel stood there, not moving an inch.
Lilah helped him put on his coat, then thoughtfully straightened his tie for him.
"All done."
She looked up, her bright eyes glancing at him briefly.
But Gabriel's deep blue eyes just locked onto her, not blinking once.
Lilah met his gaze for a few seconds, then awkwardly turned her face away.
She simply wanted to do something nice for him, seeing how hard he worked.
Just as she turned to leave, he suddenly grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his arms.
"Oh no, they're being all lovey-dovey again!"
Aiden, sitting on the couch, quickly turned his head and covered his face with both hands.
"Gabriel..."
Lilah's face was against his chest, surrounded by his familiar scent, her heart suddenly racing uncontrollably.
