Julian leaned his head on one hand, idly tapping the table with the other, letting out a laugh. "Are you blind or what?"
His gaze stayed locked on Evelyn as he half-jokingly complained, "Evelyn, am I not good-looking?"
"You are," she answered without missing a beat.
A small smile tugged at Julian's lips. "Then am I hot?"
Evelyn chuckled. "Please, you're so hot it's unfair. Say you're the best-looking guy in Lichester, and nobody would dare argue."
She praised without holding back.
Emily and Nathaniel's faces shifted slightly hearing such shameless banter.
Julian's grin deepened. "Evelyn, do you like me?"
Hearing that, Evelyn leaned in and gave him a soft kiss on the cheek. "Of course, my dear Julian. I like you the most, like, seriously the most."
