Elsie looked at him for a long moment, then gave a small nod.

Hearing the door, Lisa Smith came out to greet them. "Ma’am, you're finally back—wait, Master Liam? What are you doing here?"
Liam offered a gentle smile. "I’m just here to help Elsie pack."
Lisa let out a surprised “Oh?”
Elsie added plainly, "Lisa, I’m no longer married to William. You don’t have to call me ‘ma’am’ anymore. Just Elsie is fine."
Lisa's eyes widened even more. She glanced inside the house like she couldn’t quite believe it.
