Thinking of that, Celestia pressed her lips together and looked at her father, about to speak.

But Jareth clearly guessed what she was trying to say. A sharp glint flickered in his deep eyes, and he cut her off before she could get another word out.
"Celestia, you still haven't told your dad about us?" His tone had a hint of gentle reproach, but more than that-it sounded indulgent.
"You really kept the secret tight. We've been marri-"
"Jareth, enough!" Celestia blurted out, trying to shut him up before he could say more. Her face went pale as soon as he uttered the word "marri-", her heart skipping a beat.
