Noah turns to look at me, wondering how he's supposed to reply to Josphat's questions. It's evident that his daughter is no more and for sure, there's nothing anyone can do to bring her back to life.
"She is no more." Noah says to Bernice's dad who's now staring blankly into space. He's still in denial.
"Oh no!" He cries out loudly. "Even if Bernice was evil, she didn't deserve to die. She should have lived to change to a better person. What will I tell her mother yet she's our only child?" He Lambert's, still sobbing.
All my life, I've never seen a man sobbing in such a manner and even when mom died, I don't think I saw dad crying for her that helplessly.
This must really hurt to the core. It's not usual to see a fully grown man crying this hysterically so this means he's hurt
