I thought I knew what darkness was. I thought I could picture what misery and destruction looked like. But nothing, absolutely nothing could have prepared me for the sight that greeted me as soon as we crossed into Alfheim. I couldn’t believe that this was the same Alfheim I had once known. It didn’t look anything like home. This place was strange, and there was an evil that I could feel coursing through the very earth itself.
