I had left Holly at the hospital and went back to the others. I felt bad leaving her alone. I had basically just told her that our best chance of saving her mother was gone. It looked like we would have no choice but to go with plan b. As I walked along, I was trying to think of something else. I hated the idea of sending my heavily pregnant sister in law into the middle of this. If only someone else could go in her place. That’s when it hit me.
