Chapter Thirteen: The Growl Savannah POV: The growl reverberates through the room, low and menacing, like a storm rolling in, filling every inch of space with tension. My heart leaps into my throat, and I instinctively tighten my grip on the twins. The little boy stirs slightly, his head shifting against my chest, but he doesn't wake. The girl remains snuggled against me, completely at ease, even as the atmosphere in the room grows heavier by the second. I glance toward the door, and there they are—Isaiah and Josiah, standing just inside the entrance, their eyes locked onto me.
