Julian dropped Evelyn off in front of the Knight Corporation building. He didn't leave until she'd walked inside, then pulled away in his car.
Evelyn had barely stepped into her office when Steven strode in.
"Morning, Miss Knight," he greeted as he hurried over.
Hearing his voice, Evelyn glanced up at him.
Steven gave her a quick update: "Vice President George Knight handed off several projects he was working on to Nathaniel. And Edward is teaming up with a few of the company's board members, all under the pretense of closer ties with the Knight family through partnership and marriage, to put pressure on Sebastian."
Evelyn chuckled softly, as if none of that surprised her. "Pretty much expected it. What's Grandpa saying about all of this?"
