I could feel Damien's anger escalate when I hid behind Harry.
The message was clear: I wasn't going anywhere with him.
"Don't make me repeat myself," Damien growled, his Alpha authority filling the doorway.
Harry turned to me with concern in his eyes. "If you don't want to go with him, you don't have to, Nicole."
I could tell Harry hoped I'd stay.
But this was between me and my husband—my Alpha—and I didn't want to drag Harry into our pack drama.
With a resigned sigh, I moved past Harry and grabbed my purse from the living room couch.
"I'm sorry for causing trouble," I told him softly. "Thanks for everything tonight. I should go."
