CARLA An hour before dawn, I was discharged. Smith and Brian were my companions as we left the hospital. Walking out through the revolving door, we were stunned by the police cars parked outside the hospital. Their sirens were blaring like crazy and the officers looked pretty agitated. They noticed us and two of them hurried over to us. Seeing them over and over tonight was becoming a traumatic experience. To calm my racing heart, I linked my arm with Smith's. He assumed a serious look, as they approached him. “Officer, what's going on again?” “I'm sorry but the guy escaped. The rogue dude.” The officer informed. “He went ballistic on us. Killed the officers who were with him in the car. Made the car tumble and ran off. We feared he might be heading here to hurt your friend again.
