This moment reminded me of those old movies where there was a standoff between two enemies, and how they would wait for the other one to make the first move and attack the other one and the slowest would be shot. This kind of felt like that situation even though it wasn’t a gun fight and I really hoped that Alex didn’t have a gun with him.
