I was surprised when Sabina asked Piet to stay and take care of the business for her, but being surprised by her offer to him didn’t mean that I wasn’t pleased by it. her offer to Piet made things so much easier for me although I didn’t like the fact that she would still be dealing with Piet on a day-to-day basis, I didn’t want anything that would be a constant reminder of her past.
I couldn’t think of a better way myself to make things work in my favor, my intention had been to talk to her about us moving to Italy and staying there.
