ENDER
One minute she was there. Small, soft, and fit in my arms. And the next, she was nowhere. A tingling sensation filled the place I touched her.
“Raven…” I called out when she didn’t move. And when she said nothing, I pulled her away from me and found her stiff. The black of her eyes were gone, and the white was all that was left. That and the cloudy hue covering her eyes.
“Great…” I had anticipated that this could get her in trouble, but I just never realized it was this bad. It would have been better if she could close her eyes and fall unconscious than simply stand there, like a statue.
