The very idea that whatever had happened would have been because of me made me grit my teeth even more. Fortunately, I found my horse, just at the entrance. He was scared and going mad. I let go of Raven, keeping her in my line of sight, and tried to calm the horse down. When he was calm, I took Raven’s hand again and pulled her up on the horse. I lunged myself behind her and dropped her bag in front of her. She grabbed it, even when I was sure she had no idea what she was grabbing. And without further outdo, we rode out into the streets. The town was even messier than it had been earlier. The chaos from the wall must have alerted the town, and the street was packed full. From a distance, I knew getting through was going to be hard. But I needed to keep her far away from this nonsense,
