The very idea that whatever had happened would have been because of me made me grit my teeth even more. Fortunately, I found my horse, just at the entrance. He was scared and going mad. I let go of Raven, keeping her in my line of sight, and tried to calm the horse down. When he was calm, I took Raven’s hand again and pulled her up on the horse. I lunged myself behind her and dropped her bag in front of her. She grabbed it, even when I was sure she had no idea what she was grabbing.
