Aria's POV "You need to eat, princess", Alex said gently, as he positioned my food tray in front of me. I agreed and picked up the fork to eat the salad they brought me. "So, what's going on with you and your mother?", he asked casually, sitting in the chair next to my bed. I smiled sadly. "Childhood trauma. Trauma of her knowing what my ex-husband was doing and not mentioning it, or stopping it", I answered him, taking another bite. "Would you have let her?", he asked, tilting his head to the side. I shrugged my shoulders. "It would have been helpful if she had told me the things she knew. It would have made me leave him sooner. She also could have stopped our relationship. I was sixteen", I said, shaking my head. Alex nodded his head, remembering the conversation we had the first day
