Alexander's POV
"So you and mommy got off at the same time today?", Colin asked, as he sat perched in my passenger seat. "Kind of", I chuckled. "Mr. Alex, is my mommy okay? She seemed a little shaken up when she got me from Grandma's", he asked. This kid is definitely observant. I didn't want to say anything to him that would upset him or his mother. "As far as I know, little guy", I answered him, vaguely. I knew that was a lie, but his mother would probably skin me alive if I told him what happened. He is too young for that.
We pulled into Aria's driveway. Shadow was at the gate, jumping excitedly, happy to see us. Well, his mother and brother at least. I jumped out and got Colin out before I approached Aria's truck. She had her passenger door open and was gathering stuff from her pass
