I woke with a start. Panic coursing through me. Am I late? I jumped up and looked at my phone. Phew. It's Sunday. I am not late for work. "What's wrong, princess?", I heard Alex utter in a sleepy voice. "Nothing. It's not Monday", I replied, lying back down. Alexander chuckled as he pulled me close to him. "Even if it was, the person signing your check is in your bed. I think being a little late wouldn't be a problem", he confessed.
"I don't like being late. It causes flashbacks", I admitted. Alex sat up and rolled me onto my back. "Flashbacks of what?", he questioned curiously.
