Aria's POV
My instincts were on high alert. I tried to make sure that I did a safe yet faster speed out of there. I hopped on the interstate and did ninety for a little bit before I slowed down to eighty. "Do you know what kind of vehicle he was driving?", I questioned quietly, to ensure that Colin didn't hear me. Alexander shook his head. "I do not, princess", he uttered, squeezing my thigh, where he had his hand placed.
"We are okay, though", he assured me. I smiled to the best of my abilities, not fooling Alex easily. "Nothing is going to happen, princess. And if it does, I will protect you both. You have my word", he whispered, leaning across the center console. I peered over at his lips that were extremely close to my face. A comforting action. I nodded more believably this time. H
