I flew around watching my beautiful mate run until she stopped at a creek. I had a feeling she knew I was following her and I got the answer when I landed not far from the creek and she walked to the grass before flopping down. I shifted back to my human form and walked towards her making her whimper. It broke my heart that she thought I was going to reject her.
“Can you shift back, please?” I asked. She looked at me for a few seconds before she began to shift back. It hurt to see a tear streamed down her face. I gently reached up and wiped it away.
